A mirage is as real as it is illusionary
The 911 terrorists hatched a plot which the Israelis uncovered. They informed U.S authorities. But Osama bin Laden had strategic advantage given that he was dealing with Washington. The success of the attacks made some in the administration very angry. Bush felt betrayed and insulted and reminded that Saddam was a danger to his father capable of deploying mercenaries on U.S soil.
But Bush already was already preparing for an invasion of Iraq on the grounds that Saddam was interfering with global oil supplies. A case was about to be tabled at the U.N calling for military action against Saddam given that demand for OIL had surpassed supply thanks to Saddam.
Then, 911 changed everything resulting in a temporary delay and a gradual acceleration of high OIL prices. Saudi Arabia agreed to pace and manage OIL prices for the immediate future while military strikes on Iraq were carried out.
OIL futures
Beyond OIL, Bush, Cheney and their cronies – at the core of the United States is the desire to control and pacify the American public. To make them believe what they are told through mass media achieved with connivance of monopoly power from FOX, AP and CNN. The focus is on select domestic issues that are hammered repeatedly into Americans to yield a very limited though commercially beneficial point of view. The threat of terror is magnified and economic power aggregated to a limited clique of elite. They have outsourced production to communist nations such as China and opened the labor market to South America.
The goal is to leave Americans immobile, jobless, shut them up and use them for voting to legitimize global agendas.
Protecting OIL
The sum effect of strategic planning by the likes of PNAC is no threat to the economic prosperity and supremacy of the United States. Though they target to concentrate all American wealth to top 1% of population, the United States will remain a global power.
Obama may fail to invade Iran but eventually they will. Then Nigeria and Venezuela. The only protection for world OIL is a defense force of OPEC and OIL producers because a cartel wont protect against clever military invasion schemes.
